Halloween celebrations happened all over the area Wednesday night. The towns of Maiden and Stanley had community-wide celebrations. In other places, churches held events often called Trunk or Treat, and the kids who made their way through their neighborhoods enjoyed perfect weather for the holiday.
The celebrations actually started earlier in the day. Kirk Herbertson was on hand at the Jonas Library on West Main Street in Lincolnton for their Halloween celebration. Bill Ward provided us photos from Stanley's celebration and one at a church in Gastonia.
