LINCOLNTON, N.C. - The Lincoln County office of NC Cooperative Extension is accepting applications for the George A. Stoudemire scholarship. George A. Stoudemire was a greatly respected agricultural agent and Extension director who was deeply committed to the farmers of our county, and who left a great legacy of service and dedication at the close of his career in 1976.
The Stoudemire scholarship provides assistance to support education, preferentially, to students planning to study in areas directly related to the work of Cooperative Extension: including agriculture, natural resources, family and consumer sciences, forestry, youth development. The scholarship is available to students who will study at a North Carolina college or university.
The scholarship form can be found at http://lincoln.ces.ncsu.edu/, at each of the four Lincoln County high schools, and at the Cooperative Extension office, 115 West Main Street, Lincolnton. If your educational plans fit the criteria listed above, be sure to put in your application. The deadline for applications is January 31, 2019.
