LINCOLNTON, N.C. – The Lincolnton High School Drama Club sponsored the LHS 2018 Talent Show on November 20 at the Lincoln Cultural Center with 14 acts competiting.

Those participating in the program were:


  • Adam Ramirez-Huerta, “Stay”
  • Aliscia Hope, “Better”
  • Nadia Borrelli, “When We Were Young”
  • Jordyn Powers, “Like That”
  • Chelsea Cardenes, “I Don’t Wanna Be You Anymore”
  • Brandon Tellez-Castillo, “Concerto No. 11 in D Major”
  • Rebecca Stover, “The Climb”


  • Jasmine Quezada, “Don’t You Worry ‘Bout a Thing”
  • Zyon Ross, “I Can Only Imagine”
  • Lydia Humphries, “Much Madness”
  • JLS Trio, “Perfect People”
  • Xzaysha Henry, “Turning Tables”
  • Los Trumpeteros, “La Virgin de la Macarena”
  • Iracema Rosado, “I Have Nothing”

After the performances there was a special music presentation and the awards presentation.

Winners names were not available.

Upcoming Drama Club Events will be the Dessert Theater on December 1 at the James W. Warren Citizens Center; and the Spring Musical April 12-14 at the Lincoln Cultural Center.

Shane Stephens, LHS Drama Club Advisor, made the introductions and thanked the following for assisting with the program: Josh Belvin, Charlie Bethancourt, Col. Robin Sites, Kathy Davis and the Lincoln Cultural Center, Tony Worley, LHS Principal and Assistant Principals Craig Short and Terry Taylor.

Judges for the talent show were Phil Campbell, Steven Foster and Amanda Pauley.

The LHS Drama Club Officers are: Ashley Logan, President; Preston Smith, Vice-President; Lydia Humphries, Treasurer; Jasmin Quezada and Lori Scronce, Historians.
