IRON STATION, N.C. - The United Way of Lincoln County hosted their second annual Carolina Christmas Gala on Friday, November 30 at Vesuvius Vineyards.

“Because of the overwhelming support and excitement generated at our first gala last year, we knew this event would become an annual tradition,” said Kathy Vinzant, Executive Director. “Our Christmas Gala was a wonderful, festive night of food, fun, music, and laughter – with all of the proceeds benefiting our 14 partner agencies and the work of United Way in Lincoln County.”

The event featured live music performed by local band Carolina Ridge, a photo booth, 15 beautiful Christmas Trees up for auction, plus lots of silent auction items. New this year, was a $500 Christmas Cash Raffle won by Scott Loudermelt of American Red Cross.

Each of our 14 partner agencies (see list below) decorated a Christmas Tree for the silent auction. In addition, United Way of Lincoln County had a large Christmas Tree decorated by “The Little Women” (Gail and Doris Little).
