World Day of Prayer
Friday is World Day of Prayer. Marvin United Methodist Church and Salem Lutheran Church will hold a special prayer service 6:30 - 7:30 PM at Salem Lutheran, 3410 Startown Road.

Bradley Cloninger at Crafted: Southern Speakeasy
Bradley Cloninger will entertain at Crafted: A Southern Speakeasy , 411B E. Main St. in Lincolnton, beginning at 7:30 PM Friday.

The Griggs at Johnny K's
The Griggs will present a program of bluegrass gospel music Friday evening beginning at 6 PM at Johnny K's, 421 N. General Blvd. in Lincolnton.

Crafty Burg'r Food Truck at Untapped Territory
It's another 'food truck weekend' as Untapped Territory, 118 E. Water St. in Lincolnton welcomes the Crafty Burg'r Food Truck beginning at 5 PM both Friday & Saturday.

SATURDAY March 2nd

March Forth 5k & 15k (Denver)
The 3rd annual March Forth 5k & 15k run/walk are scheduled for 7:30 Saturday morning beginning at the Food Lion on Highway 16-Business, Denver. Proceeds benefit Levine Children’s oncology patient support programs through the Stand Firm Warrior Foundation - Fighting Childhood Cancer.

Loray Mill Strike Exhibit (Dallas)
For history buffs, it's a great learning opportunity--the Gaston County Museum of Art & History, 131 W. Main St. in Dallas, will host "A Community Divided," an exhibit about the 1929 strike at the Loray Mill in Gastonia that divided the population and resulted in the deaths of two people. The free exhibit opens Saturday and runs through mid-August.

Country Breakfast at Shady Grove Church
Shady Grove Baptist Church at 3240 Tryon Courthouse Road will have a Country Breakfast, Saturday 7 - 10 AM.

NAACP Meeting
The Lincoln County NAACP Unit will meet Saturday morning at 10 AM at Providence Missionary Baptist Church at the corner of E. Pine St. & Hollybrook Ave. in Lincolnton.

Poncho & Lefty at Crafted: Southern Speakeasy
Poncho & Lefty will entertain at Crafted: A Southern Speakeasy, 411B East Main St., Lincolnton, Saturday 7:30 - 10:30 PM. They'll also be celebrating Mardi Gras (we know, it isn't Tuesday, it's Saturday) from 3 - 11 PM.

Long Shoals School Open House
Long Shoals Baptist Church will host a dedication and open house for the newly refurbished Long Shoals School Sunday 2 - 4 PM.

Burnett Sisters with Colin Ray
Lincolnton's own Colin Ray will join the four Burnett Sisters for a concert sponsored by the Lincoln County Concert Association Sunday afternoon at 3 at the Lincoln Cultural Center, 403 E. Main St. in Lincolnton. Admission is $20 for adults, $5 for students.
