The theme for National Public Health Week 2019 is “Creating the Healthiest Nation: For Science. For Action. For Health.” National Public Health Week is sponsored by the American Public Health Association (APHA) but celebrated by many. This year the APHA wants to engage all communities, organizations, and groups where people live, work, and play to start a conversation regarding each of our roles in making sure good health is within everyone’s reach. This National Public Health Week aims to honor America’s public health workers, encourage new ideas and conversations, and engage stakeholders in the importance of public health across all private and public sectors to meet and exceed the goal of Creating the Healthiest Nation: For science. For action. For health. For more information regarding National Public Health Week, please visit nphw.org. The Health Department is located at 200 Gamble Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
