Senior games
And the Lincoln County Senior Games are off to a great start, as Calloway noted.

“Thanks to everyone who participated in our opening ceremonies and athletic events, including the softball throw, football throw, shot-put, discus and track and field events,” she said. “Also, thank you to our sponsors who helped out: the Lincoln County YMCA, Lincoln County Senior Center and Lincoln County TLC.”

The games will continue countywide through the end of May.

“Come out and show your support for our local seniors!” said Calloway.

Calloway noted that both markets would be open Saturdays, 8 a.m. to noon. And the market at the Lincoln County Department of Social Services in Lincolnton will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning April 10.

“If you have any questions,” she added, “give us a call at (704) 748-1518.”
