LINCOLNTON, N.C. - The Delta Sigma Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, an international society of key women educators, held their annual fashion show and brunch on Saturday, April 13 at First United Methodist Church in Lincolnton.
The annual Delta Sigma fashion show raises money to support local education. Proceeds from the sale of tickets help fund Delta Sigma scholarships for future and current educators along with a beginning teacher support project.
Chapter President, Rhonda Hager welcomed over 200 guests to the fashion show and Diana Carpenter provided the invocation. Guests enjoyed a brunch prepared and served by members of Delta Sigma members.
Rhonda Hager served as emcee for the fashion show and shared comments about the clothes and accessories modeled by members from Chico’s of Gastonia, Redbone Willy’s of Lawndale, Crafted Mercantile (opening soon), 7th Moon Boutique, Hi-Lites, and The Leprechaun Spring Hill Galleries of Lincolnton.
Modeling the clothes were retired or active educators Frankie Beam, Katie Crocker, Kennan Eaddy, Sherry Hoyle, Jennifer Huskey, Elaine Jenkins, Judy Jones, Jane Morton, Heather Myers, Tammy Price, Kristen Reynolds, Judy Shuford, and Darla Stines. Abby Myers, daughter of member Heather Myers, and prior Delta Sigma scholarship winner Abbey Parker also served as models.
Drawings for door prizes were held throughout the fashion show. Delta Sigma would like to thank The Drug Store, Carolina Trust Bank, Reid’s Wood Goods, 7th Moon Boutique, Court Street Grille, Keever Pharmacy, Rhyne Financial, Bloom Market, Morgan’s, The Leprechaun, House of Pizza, Scott Mosteller at Sentry Drug, and Shear Options for their contributions to the fashion show. Drum’s Florist & Gifts also donated a beautiful floral arrangement for the stage podium. Member contributions came from Linda Yoder, Jane Morton, Cindy White and Gayle Reid. Delta Sigma would like to thank guests and merchants for making this year’s show a success.
