The Junior Level NV team name from Lincolnton's Odyssey Cheer & Tumble is planning a trip to Disney World to compete next month and will be holding a fundraising Pancake Breakfast at Fatz Cafe on E. Main St. this Saturday morning.
The 14 girls from three different teams have put in lots of extra work getting ready for the competition. NV competed in their first competition in Nashville, TN, a few weeks ago. Out of 350 plus teams, NV received an at-large D2 Summit Bid being held at Disney World in May. Over 1000 teams will be involved in that international competition to be named best in the world. To make the trip to Disney World, each of the girls had to raise at least $600. That's why they're holding the Pancake Breakfast at Fatz Saturday 7:30 - 10:30.
For anyone not familiar, Odyssey, operated by Kelly Reynolds Puryear and managed by her sister Tracey Lineberger Pauley, opened in 2008. After growing to full capacity, they moved three years ago to their current location off N. Aspen St.
