MAIDEN, N.C. - SafeKids Catawba County joined with Maiden Police Officers and Maiden Elementary School to celebrate Bike to School Day at the Maiden Recreation Center on May 8, 2019. This event brought together children, parents and educators to raise awareness about bike safety.
The young bikers, with their helmets on and their bikes ready to go, rode as a group from the Recreation Center to the school. Their bikes were safely stored at the school during the day. After school a Bike Rodeo was held at the Recreation Center for those wanting to participate.
Thanks to everyone who participated in the Bike to School Day activities. As the weather continues to get nicer, maybe this will be the beginning of more safe biking adventures.
