LINCOLNTON, N.C. - What do balloons, puppets, music/singing, folktales, staying hydrated, and the Sun have in common?  During the next three weeks, these are six amongst fifteen scheduled enrichment programs at no cost to 18 years old and younger attending Boger City United Methodist Church’s Summer Lunch & Enrichment Program, located at 2320 East Main Street in their Fellowship Hall.

During the weeks of Monday, June 24th through Friday, July 12th, BCUMC Summer Lunch & Enrichment Program has scheduled a variety of arts/crafts, educational, and entertaining programs, and/or children rated movies to begin at 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. for children and teens. Children and adults accompanying the children and teens are encouraged to arrive before these enrichment programs begin. Children and teens (18 years old and younger) are encouraged to make plans to eat a free bag lunch regardless of their parent’s income in the church Fellowship Hall from 12 Noon to 12:30 p.m. Adults accompanying the children will receive a snack and water.

Each child in attendance will be given a book to take home daily. Over the past four years an assortment of items have been given away and this year each day will have a particular item. Special give-a-ways have been planned for June 27 (National Sunglasses Day); July 3 (Pre-Independence Day Celebration) and July 17 (National Emoji Day).
