FRIDAY July 19th

BBQ Sale @ Alexis VFD
The Alexis Fire Dept. will have a BBQ Sale at its location on highway 27 @ Alexis Friday.

SATURDAY July 20th

Back to School Bash
North Brook Baptist Church, 7421 Flay Road, will have a Back to School Bash Saturday 10 AM - 1 PM. They'll have games, food, and free backpacks with school supplies on a first come, first served basis.

"Be A Hero" Comic Con
Communities in Schools will host a "Be A Hero" Comic Con Saturday 10 AM - 5 PM at Lincolnton High School. Come meet superheroes and other characters and dress as your favorite if you like. Tickets are $5 (free for children 12 and under) with proceeds benefitting Communities in Schools of Lincoln County.

Music in the Park
The Denver/LKN Rotary Music in the Park for this month happens Saturday evening 6 - 10 at Rescue Squad Park on Galway Lane across from Lincoln Charter School in Denver. Poncho Afterglow will entertain. There'll be food, ice cream, beer and wine and admission is free.

Summer Concert (Dallas)
The Catalinas will perform from 7 - 10 PM and there'll be a classic car show Saturday on the historic town square in Dallas.

Food Truck Rodeo
They're calling it a 'food truck rodeo.' The event happens Saturday 3 - 10 PM at the Newton-Conover auditorium. Food trucks, music, and a movie under the stars ("The Goonies" at 8:30 PM) are part of the event.


THURSDAY July 25th

Alive After Five
The Downtown Development Association presents the July Alive After Five Thursday July 25th 6 - 10 PM on East Main Street downtown. Show off your classic vehicle in the second block of East Main, or just bring your lawn chair and enjoy the music of Jim Quick & Coastline. Food, soft drinks, beer and wine will be available.


LTG "Beauty & the Beast" musical Thursday-Sunday August 1st-4th and 8th -11th 7 PM Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 3 PM Sunday at the Lincoln Cultural Center

2019 Apple Queen Pageant August 3rd 6:30 PM at the James W. Warren Citizens Center

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL for Lincoln County Schools is August 12th; Lincoln Charter School's first day (a half day) is August 14th; first day of school for students in the Catawba County Schools, Gaston County Schools and Cleveland County Schools will be August 26th.
