LINCOLNTON, N.C. - The ninth annual Cruisin’ for a Cause event packed East Main Street in Lincolnton on Saturday, August 17 from the Lincoln Cultural Center to the Court Square and several parking lots along the way.
The event was started in 2011 and each year since it has grown and raised money for four local charities--Hesed House of Hope (the local homeless shelter); the Lincoln County Coalition Against Domestic Violence; the Lincoln County Coalition Against Child Abuse and Child Advocacy Center; and the Lincolnton Relay for Life (the annual fundraiser for the research efforts of the American Cancer Society).
Many paid the $15 to park and show off their vehicle while others paid $5 for the privilege to just cruise like back in days past.
Kirk Herbertson made a trip around the cruising route with some friends and stopped to take some pictures to share of the many cars and people there.
