Shout Out To Our Community Heroes Luncheon Planned For Sept. 26

LINCOLNTON, N.C. - The United Way of Lincoln County will hold their Annual Meeting on Thursday, September 26 from noon-1 p.m. at the James W. Warren Citizens Center. The guest speaker for the meeting is Belton Platt, a motivational speaker, community leader, volunteer Chaplain, author, mentor and counselor. Senator Ted Alexander, District 44 Representative will provide the invocation. Music will be provided by Brent Roland, Mark Tipton, and John Coffey.

“This year’s Annual Meeting will be a celebration of the wonderful community achievements over the past year and special recognitions for the people and organizations that have positively impacted Lincoln County,” said Kathy Vinzant, United Way of Lincoln County Executive Director. “Our theme is ‘Shout Out to Our Community Heroes,’ so we are inviting all local law enforcement personnel, first responders, medics, firefighters, as well as school leaders, community and civic leaders to be our special guest for the Luncheon.”

The luncheon will also include award presentations, including the Governor’s Service Award, Corporate Leadership Award, and Volunteer of the Year Award, and recognition of out-going United Way board members and voting for new board members.
