Alisha Friday Will Be New United Way Executive Director

United Way of Lincoln County

The United Way of Lincoln County has selected Alisha Dameron Friday as its next executive director. She will succeed Kathy Vinzant who retired March 18th after nearly nine years leading the organization.

Friday was employed by the YMCA of Greater Charlotte where she served in many positions. Her last leadership position was as Multi-branch Senior Director of Membership Experience.

Friday attended Lincoln County Schools and earned a B.S. in Communications/Public Relations from Appalachian State University.

"Alisha is a positive and energetic leader. Her warmth, mutually respectful style, knowledge of the community, and passion for helping those in need are essential attributes to ensure continued success of the United Way of Lincoln County." said Fred Jarrett, United Way Board Chairman.  "The board is excited to work with Alisha as our new executive director and confident that the United Way will be well positioned under her guidance to thrive in the years to come."

As executive director, Friday will work closely with staff, the board, and the community to connect people, resources and ideas to create a thriving community characterized by financial stability, educational success, and healthy membership. Her first day as Executive Director will be May 3rd.
