4/18/2021 8:21:00 AM Community Meeting May 5th About planned new Dollar General Store at Hallman Mill Rd.
When the proposed Dollar General is opened, the folk in that area of North Brook won't have to drive the six miles to the one at Cat Square Road to shop at DG.

Older readers will remember when there was a so-called 'service station' (we call most of them convenience groceries now) on almost every corner. Some did auto repairs, sold tires & batteries, and did car washes.
Years later, it appeared that there would be a bank on every block. Now, most people do banking online.
Then there was the era of proliferating drug stores. The Charlotte Observer even ran an article about an Eckerd being built on every corner.
Now, it's dollar stores, especially Dollar General.
Lo and behold, they want to open yet another DG store in Lincoln County. A Zoom community meeting will detail the plan on May 5th.
Teramore Development, LLC, is requesting the rezoning of 1.9 acres from B-N (Neighborhood Business) and R-S (Residential Suburban) to CZ B-G (Conditional Zoning General Business) to permit a 10,640-square-foot retail store. The property (Parcel ID# 00103) is located on the southeast corner of the intersection of NC 27 and Hallman Mill Road in North Brook Township.
A community involvement meeting will be held on Wednesday May 5th at 6:00 PM to provide information about the proposal and to receive comments prior to a public hearing. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this will be a virtual meeting on the Zoom platform, joinable via computer, tablet or smartphone, or simply by phone. Instructions on how to log in or call in will be posted the day of the meeting on the Planning and Inspections Department’s Community Involvement Meetings webpage at www.lincolncounty.org/CIM. Questions or comments may also be submitted by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone to 704-748-1507 in advance of the meeting.
