Events that were canceled last year are happening this year. Dallas and Bessemer City have already begun their summer concert series. In Dallas, the Summer Concert & Cruise-In will continue this Saturday (June 12th) with the Catalinas performing on the square from 7 - 10 PM. Maiden will begin its Summer Music Festival series with the Extraordinaires performing beginning at 6:30 Friday evening (June 11th). Mt. Holly will open its summer series Friday evening with Legacy Motown. Shane Willis and Friends are having a benefit concert & truck show Saturday at Ramsey's Farm in Crouse. Cherryville will have a Third Thursday concert all summer. Next Thursday (June 18th) the Downtown Mini-Park will have music by Opal Moon from 5 - 7 PM. Lincolnton's Alive After Five returns this year beginning Thursday June 24th when the Embers will play on the east side of the Courtsquare.

Other events are also happening this year. "Thunder Over Carolina" will be performed at WoodMill Winery June 17th-19th. On Saturday, June 19th, Lincolnton will have a Juneteenth celebration at First Federal Park on N. Poplar St.; and on June 18th, 19th & 20th, the biggest dinosaur show anywhere will be at Upton Family Farm at the corner of Hebron Church Road and Highway 27 in western Lincoln County.

The Denver Area Business Association (DABA) will bring its fireworks and music spectacular back to the East Lincoln High School Stadium on Saturday June 26th. Several of the entertainers who were supposed to perform last year will be there this year including Craig Campbell.
