Concert Association Presents Legacy of Motown Revue

Wayne Howard
Staff Writer

For the past eight years, Legacy of Motown Revue has been thrilling audiences with their spot-on recreations of classic soul and R&B hits from the 1960s and beyond. Their repertoire includes songs by many of the Motown icons - the Temptations, the Four Tops, the Miracles, Marvin Gaye just to name a few.

The group includes four talented singers/dancers backed by a six-piece horn band that will transport you back in time to one of the most influential periods of American musical history.

The Lincoln County Concert Association will present the Legacy of Motown Revue in concert at the James W. Warren Citizens Center Sunday afternoon November 11th at 3 PM.

Admission is $20 for adults, $5 for those 18 and younger.  Memberships are still available for $50 for adults ($15 for 18 and younger) that entitle members to attend all the Lincolnton concerts plus those in Albemarle, Statesville and Gastonia thanks to a reciprocal agreement with Concert Associations there.

The 2018-2019 season includes two more concerts early next year: the Burnett Sisters (Lincolnton native Colin Ray plays banjo with the group) March 3rd and another May 5th with Orquestra Mayor, a Latin music band.  Except for the Burnett Sisters, which will be at the Lincoln Cultural Center, all the concerts will be at the James W. Warren Citizens Center.
