TO POSSIBILITY OF BAD WEATHER

The Mecklenburg Militia at Ramsour's Mill Battleground event that had been scheduled for Saturday and Sunday has been cancelled due to the possibility of bad weather.  So far as we know, the other events listed here are still on for this weekend.


FRIDAY JANUARY 11th

Exodus Missionary Outreach Giving Back Gospel Concert
Exodus Missionary Outreach Church, 1763 Highland Ave NE, Hickory will have a free concert featuring the Exodus Missionary Outreach Church Gospel Choir and Imperfect But Forgiven, a gospel group from Catawba Correctional Center. Following the concert, light refreshments will be served. For more information, contact Rev. Susan Walker at 828-962-8196.

FRIDAY & SATURDAY
JANUARY 11th & 12th

Micro Film Festival
Gallery 27, 808 NC27 West in Lincolnton will offer the chance to see the works of some up-and-coming filmmakers Friday 7-9 PM and Saturday 6-8 PM. The event is free and open to the public. The film screenings will be followed by a discussion with local filmmakers. The same films will be shown each night, and popcorn and drinks will be provided.

SATURDAY JANUARY 12th

Kingstown Martin Luther King Parade
The Cleveland County town of Kingstown, located just west of Shelby, will hold its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Parade this Saturday at 2 PM. After the parade, refreshments will be served and there will be a short program at Palmer's Grove Baptist Church where the parade ends. The parade and other activities commemorate the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., for whom the town of Kingstown was named. The church is located at1606 Kingston Road, Kingstown, NC 28150.

Lowesville Gospel Concert
The Lumber River Quartet from Lumberton and the Homeland Boys will sing Saturday 5:30-7:30 PM at Living Word Ministries, 1062 NC16-Business South at Lowesville. The concert is free and everyone is welcome. For more information call 704-618-9762.

Paranormal Investigation Lincolnton City Hall/Fire Station
First in Fright Paranormal will be doing an investigation of Lincolnton City Hall and the Lincolnton Fire Station Saturday 8 PM until midnight. GameSwap at 112 Northeast Courtsquare will have a live viewing party on their big screen TVs or you can watch live online (https://www.facebook.com/FirstinFrightParanormal/). There will be a meet and greet with the investigators at GameSwap after the investigation.
