Maiden held its Christmas Parade on Saturday (Nov. 30th). Lincolnton's parade is scheduled for Sunday (Dec. 1st) at 4 PM. Gastonia also has its parade scheduled at the same time. In Lincolnton, the parade will be followed by the Tree Lighting program on the Courtsquare (about 5 PM). Gastonia will also have a tree lighting at the Rotary Pavilion following its parade.
The East Lincoln Betterment Association's Christmas Parade isn't until Saturday (Dec. 7th) but the East Lincoln Tree Lighting will be held this Sunday at 5:30 at Lake Norman Lutheran Church, Highway 16 Business at Natalie Commons Drive. Saturday's parade will start at 12:30 PM at Hagers Ferry Road and march north on Business 16 to the Captain's Cap.
Other parades this week include Belmont on Tuesday at 3:30 (Belmont tree lighting at 115 N. Main St. Monday at 6 PM); Mt. Holly Wednesday 4 PM; Cramerton Thursday 4 PM; Bessemer City Friday 5 PM. In addition to the East Lincoln Christmas Parade, others on Saturday (Dec. 7th) include Claremont 12 noon, and Kings Mountain 3 PM.
