Dinosaurs Have Returned
Come hunt them and have fun at Upton Family Farm Friday, Saturday or Sunday

Wayne Howard
Reporter

Most people have never seen a real, live dinosaur...after all, they disappeared during an Ice Age millions of years ago; but a truckload of dinos were unloaded recently at Upton Family Farm on Hebron Church Road just off NC27 in western Lincoln County. With the restrictions from the pandemic being lifted, it was reasonably expected that more of the usual summertime activities would be happening--and they are. What's happening this weekend at Upton Family Farm is an UNUSUAL activity. For $20 a carload--if you buy your ticket in advance by this Thursday (June 17th), you can actually take the family on a dinosaur hunt!

After 'hunting,' you'll want to take in one of the fun and educational dinosaur shows Ed Bounds, the dinosaurs' best friend, will be doing every two hours. Witness the hatching of a dinosaur egg, enjoy seeing dinosaurs perform, and before or after the show, enjoy some fair food while the kids (or grandkids) play on the swings and slide, take a mini-train ride, or feed the farm animals--some of them also unusual.

The Dinosaur Hunt & other activities will be available 10 AM - 6 PM, and yes, you can get your ticket at the gate, but tickets will be $30 a carload (instead of the advance $20) if you wait until Friday, Saturday or Sunday and get them there.

Upton Family Farm is owned by Bobby Jenks, who has years of experience in the fair business. It's located at 8216 S. Hebron Church Road (turn off NC27 at Hebron Church). To get your advance ticket, CLICK HERE.  For more about Upton Family Farm, visit their website
