ACTIVITIES AT THE LINCOLN CULTURAL CENTER SATURDAY, OCTOBER 16TH 9 AM UNTIL 3 PM

The Lincoln County Apple Festival has been canceled, but several businesses and non-profits are moving forward as planned. Some will have their own 'events' this week and Saturday (Oct. 16th). There will also be activities at the Lincoln Cultural Center, 403 E. Main Street in Lincolnton.
From 9 AM until 3 PM, Rick Moss, Moss Pottery, Debra Hood, Hoodie Potter and a few other artisans on the front lawn. Throughout the day, there'll be entertainment from local dance studios, guitar students and local singers, also on the front lawn.
The Arts Council of Lincoln County invites you to see the entries in the annual Paul Rhyne Art Competition on display in the galleries. The Lincoln Theatre Guild will be selling Halloween costumes as well as items you can purchase to build your own costume. The Lincoln County Library will be holding their annual book sale at the Cultural Center beginning Wednesday (Oct. 13th) 9 - 5 daily through Friday and 9 - 3 on Saturday. The Lincoln County Apple Festival board will be selling the new Apple Festival t-shirts.
As mentioned, other businesses including food and entertainment venues will also have special events on Saturday (and a few also on Wednesday-Friday).
We're not about to tell you the pandemic is over--it isn't! We have friends in the hospital with COVID right now. So wear your N95 or KN95 mask for protection if you choose and please get vaccinated. But just because the Apple Festival isn't happening as usual doesn't mean Lincolnton is closed. Those who are holding other events are welcome to add info as comments to this article on Facebook.
