Newton has a Music on Main series that begins June 2nd with On the Border. The schedule for 2022 includes concerts June 2nd, July 14th, September 8th and October 20th.
Lincolnton has the Cultural Center. Newton has its Performing Arts Center. Events scheduled there this year include a concert with John Schneider, the country singer who was on tv's "Dukes of Hazzard" Saturday September 10th Two weeks later, Vicki Lawrence does a single person two-woman show as herself (a singer) and as Mama from the tv show "Mama's Family." The Classic Drifters will perform there on October 8th and The Vampire Circus on October 13th.

Newton also has its 5th annual Foothills Folk Art Festival this Saturday (10 AM - 4 PM).
Mount Holly was scheduled to begin its summer series this Friday (May 13th) with Trial by Fire, a Journey tribute band.

The Uptown Shelby Association will kick off its series on Thursday May 19th with Darby Wilcox. This year's Shelby Alive series will include:

Of course, there are many other events in our area.
Lincolnton will have a Spring Art Crawl on Friday May 20th. Works by local artists will be on display in participating downtown businesses, some of which will also have entertainment. Pleasant Retreat Academy at the corner of E. Pine and N. Academy streets will be open to visitors and Rick & Myra Ramseur will perform. In addition to the music and the tour, there'll be hand painted items by Beth Wiseman and a raffle to benefit Lincoln Landmarks.
The next performance by the Lincoln Theatre Guild will be held at the Citizens Center July 14th-17th. Neil and Joanna Underwood are directing "The Wizard of Oz."
The celebration of the Battle of Ramsour's Mill happens June 3rd-5th. "Thunder Over Carolina," the play about the battle and other events of the period will be performed at WoodMill Winery June 23rd-25th.
There will, of course, be a July 4th parade in downtown Lincolnton this year and fireworks, and the fireworks and music festival sponsored by the Denver Area Business Association will be held at David Clark Stadium at East Lincoln High School on June 25th.
The Lincoln County Apple Festival and Shelby's Mush, Musiic & Mutts will both be on Saturday October 15th. Oktoberfest, sponsored by the Hickory Downtown Development Association, will return October 7th - 9th.
