Let's try again! Lincolnton's first scheduled Alive After Five for 2022 didn't make it. Instead, we had rain. It has been that kind of Spring this year. Maiden's first Jive After Five concert on May 12th was also postponed because rain was expected. It actually turned into a pleasant evening and the rain didn't happen, but the concert with On the Border had already been rescheduled for July 22nd.
The weather for this Thursday is expected to be OK for the BlackWater Band. There's a 30% chance of showers but that goes down after 7 PM. DJ Johnny B (John Barkley) will kick things off at 6 PM and the band will take the stage at 7.
Maiden's next Jive After Five will be Friday in front of Town Hall with the Band of Oz.
Stanley will have another Coolin' Out on Main concert Saturday night with the Cat5 Band. Bessemer City continues its Summer concert series this Saturday with the Catalinas.
Weather won't be a factor for concerts by the East Lincoln Community Chorus who will present a patriotic concert, "America The Beautiful," at Denver United Methodist Church Thursday & Friday (June 23rd & 24tH) at 7:30 PM, and Saturday (June 25th) at 4PM.
Also on this week's schedule is the annual Music & Fireworks Spectacular at East Lincoln High School starting at 4 PM Saturday. [See our article CELEBRATING AMERICA'S BIRTHDAY for other events.
