The DDA's Alive After Five Thursday evening (June 26th) didn't have the same problem as the first Alive After Five of the year in May did.  It was hot, but there was no rain anywhere in the area.

The Rick Springfield Band entertained what appeared to be a smaller crowd than had gathered before the first rained-out Alive After Five event.  The planned classic car show in the second block of East Main Street drew less than ten cars.  Several of the food vendors who had come for the first Alive After Five only to have to pack up and go home early when the rain came did not return for the second attempt.

A couple of the stores on East Main Street who normally would have closed earlier stayed open later during the event.

The Alive After Five concerts are scheduled to continue the last Thursday in each month through September.  The remaining schedule includes:

  • July 31st: The Holiday Band
  • August 28th: The Extraordinaires
  • September 25th: The Fantastic Shakers
