Integration closed them and a cultural history was largely lost. Hickory had perhaps the most revered of those schools--Ridgeview. A descendant of one of Ridgeview's unbeaten 1964 football team will be at the Ridgeview Branch Libary on Saturday April 23rd, to talk about the school, the team and her new book.
