Cat Square Parade
The Christmas parade season comes to an end this weekend.  Dallas postponed its parade from Friday until Sunday at 4 PM because of the rain.  Shelby's parade was already scheduled for Sunday at 3 PM.  Cherryville's parade was Saturday morning and the Cat Square Parade Saturday afternoon.

DAR To Host Christmas Tea & Auction, Dec. 15
The event will be sponsored by the Vesuvius Furnace Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution at Vesuvius, the famed 18th-century mansion near Iron Station. Proceeds from this event will repair the headstone of Nancy Wagoner, wife of Revolutionary War Patriot Pvt. Edmond Wagoner. Additional funds will be used for the refurbishment of the Peter Forney Family Cemetery.
