Carl Thomas Pulley Sr.
April 21, 1926 - October 20, 2017

DENVER, N.C. - Carl Thomas Pulley Sr., age 91 of Denver passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 at his residence.

Born April 21, 1926 in Brunswick County, he was the son of the late Robert and Polly Smith Pulley. He was a World War II Army veteran. Carl retired after working for 41 years at Continental Trailways that is now known as Greyhound Transportation.

In addition to his parents, brother, R.L. Pulley and two sisters; Maxine Black and Emily Love preceded him in death.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Annis Willowghby Pulley of the home; daughter Melanie Covington and husband Tim of Maiden; son Tommy Pulley Jr. of Concord; four grandchildren Carl T. Pulley III, Keenan Pulley, Taylor Justice and husband Josh, Tyler Covington; great-grandchild Carra Pulley; and two brothers Jimmy Pulley and wife Pickens of North Augusta, S.C., Bobby Pulley and wife Bobbi of Hope Mills, N.C.

A celebration of Carl’s life will be held, Friday, October 27, 2017 at 7 p.m. at Denver Baptist Church in Denver, N.C. with Pastor Ken Furches officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. at the church.

Burial will be held privately at Salisbury National Cemetery with Military Honors.

Memorials may be made to Novant Health Hospice, PO Box 33549, Charlotte, NC 28233-3549 and Denver Baptist Church Mission Fund.
