LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Ralph Winters Disher, age 88, of 119 Robin Road in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, October 29, 2017.
A Celebration of Life memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Tony Matthews officiating.
Ralph was born April 18, 1929, in Kansas City, Missouri, but grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he was a champion tennis player. He was a US Navy veteran and a member of the Masons for over 50 years. He retired after 36 years as an Optician, most of which was spent at The Medical Center Clinic in Pensacola, Florida.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Nita Mobley Disher. His first wife, Mildred Christiansen Disher and a daughter, Carol Winters Redmon, preceded him in death. Also surviving is a son, Scott Christiansen Disher and wife Cynthia, of San Antonio, Texas; step-daughters, Karen Eakins and Suzanne Mauney of Lincolnton; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
