George (Bud) McClindon Peeler
August 18, 1938 - March 26, 2019

LINCOLNTON, N.C. - George “Bud” McClindon Peeler, age 80, of Lincolnton passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Accordius Health of Statesville.

Born August 18, 1938 in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late George Franklin and Emma Mae White Peeler. He was a dairy farmer for many years. In addition to his parents, three sisters Sybil Fredell, Muriel Frances Peeler, Bertha Mae Sipe and brother, Anderson “Tojo” W. Peeler preceded him in death.

Left to cherish his memory wife Patsy A. Peeler of the home’ three daughters Kathy P. Dills and husband Harvey, Jr. of Crouse, Dana Ortega of Maiden, Regina Sexton and husband Kenneth Jr. of Tennessee; two sons Shawn Peeler and wife Kasey of Lincolnton, Daniel Aderholt and wife Mary of Cherryville; four sisters Jean Hudson of Lincolnton, Barbara Sue Armstrong of Rutherfordton, Edna Grant of Hickory, Frankie Goins of Lincolnton; 12 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Monday, April 1, 2019 at 12 p.m. at Burke Mortuary Chapel in Maiden with Rev. Jeremy Smathers officiating.

Burial will follow in Woodside Church of Our Savior Cemetery in Lincolnton.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
