Henry (Buck) Schronce Jr.
September 9, 1933 - April 4, 2019

NEWTON, N.C. - Henry “Buck” Schronce Jr., age 85, of Newton passed away Thursday, April 4, 2019 at his residence.

Born September 9, 1933 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Henry Andrew Schronce Sr. and Nora Rudisill Schronce. Buck was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked as a truck driver for Carolina Freight for 36 years. In addition to his parents, daughter Janet Schronce Lowe; five brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

Left to cherish his memory wife Glenda Schronce of the home; daughter Dianne Schronce Lowe of Maiden; brother Jack Schronce of Maiden; two sisters Virginia Williams of Maiden, Dorothy Mitchell of Conover; three grandchildren Joshua White, Savannah Lowe, Justin Lowe; three great-grandchildren Henry and Stryker White, and Lincoln Whitcher.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, April 7, 2019 at 3 p.m. at Living Word Church in Maiden with Pastor Rick Haug officiating.

Burial will follow in Maiden City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at the church.
