Larry Cecil Brown
September 25, 1946 - April 13, 2019

NEWTON, N.C. - Larry Cecil Brown, 72, of Newton passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory.

Larry was born September 25, 1946 in Wilkes County to the late Lytle Alonzo and Banie Emmaline Lankford Brown.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years Aleta Allen Brown of the home; son Kelly Brown of Newton; four daughters Megan Brown and husband Ronnie of Maiden, Andrea Valentine and husband Bruce of Mt. View, Mandy Cress of Conover and Brandy Cress of Vale; two sisters Lois Church and Jolene Church, both of North Wilkesboro; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 4 p.m. at Startown First Baptist Church in Newton with Pastor William Church officiating.

Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery in Newton.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
