Clara Perry Cochran
December 10, 1943 - April 24, 2019

NEWTON, N.C. - Clara Perry Cochran, 75, of Newton passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Catawba Valley Medical Center.

She was born December 10, 1943 in Essex, Canada to the late Samuel and Lena Delupee Perry. Clara was a member of Community Missionary Baptist Church in Catawba and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 58 years Henry Cochran of the home; sons Timothy Dale Cochran and wife Mary of Newton, Ronnie J. Cochran of Newton; daughters Sandy Nash of Maiden, Robin Barnes and husband John of Claremont, Shelly Fox and husband Jimmy of Newton, Elizabeth Howell and husband Greg of Claremont; 19 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service to celebrate Clara’s life will be held on Friday, April 26, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Community Missionary Baptist Church in Catawba. Rev. Charles Buff will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service.

Memorials may be made to Community Missionary Baptist Church, 1921 Lowrance Rd., Catawba, NC 28609.

To the Cochran Family
I am so sorry for the lost of Your wife, mother, grandma, Great grand ma. My heart goes out to you all. Clara was a very loving mother etc. So remember the wonderful person she was and how she touched each one of your lives. In different ways and the wonderful memories she shared with each of you. I know I will remember the moments I shared with her with a smile. Love Aunt Barbara.
