Andrew Scott Thompson
December 26, 1996 - April 29, 2019

CHERRYVILLE, N.C. - Andrew Scott Thompson, age 22, of Ray St. died Monday, April 29, 2019 at his residence.

He was born December 26, 1996 in Pickens County, S.C. to Bryan Scott Thompson and Terry DeLynn Anthony. Andrew was a graduate of Cherryville High School, served in the Army National Guard, and was an apprentice lineman with UCLS in Gastonia.

Andrew was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dwaine Anthony and Charlene Taylor.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Jaxson Sage Thompson; brothers, Ethan Thompson, Austin Thompson, Timothy Thompson, and Zander Wrights; sisters, Kassie Thompson and Zaylii Wright; paternal grandparents, James Thompson and Patrice Murray Thompson; uncle and aunt, Travis and Tina Anthony; nephew, Mason Carter Pruitt; niece, Aubrey Grace McCown; and the mother of his son, Kelsey Miller.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Jason Elmore officiating.
