Benjamin Hunter Wright
September 12, 1996 - May 18, 2019

IRON STATION, N.C. - Benjamin Hunter Wright, age 22, passed away unexpectedly late Saturday May 18, 2019 due to an accident.

He was born September 12, 1996 in Cleveland County to Cheryl Lynn Swink Wright and Ricky Dennis Wright. He enjoyed auto-mechanics and working on engines. He was a hard worker and loved fishing. Hunter was an amazing father and fiancé who adored spending time with Maria and his son, Jaxon.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Richard Wright.

In addition to his parents, Cheryl and Ricky, he is survived by his fiancée, Maria Elise Walters; son, Jaxon Wright; brothers, Nathan Anthony Wright and Nicholas Cole Wright; maternal grandparents, Robert Jr. and Rita Swink and Jackie and Kenneth Mathis; paternal grandmother, Patricia Wright; his fiancée’s parents, Amy and Randy Kelly; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held Friday May 24, 2019 at 3 p.m. at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
