Kenneth Oscar Bailey Sr.
January 5, 1938 - March 3, 2020

HICKORY - Kenneth Oscar Bailey Sr., 82, of Hickory passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Brookdale Falling Creek in Hickory.

He was born January 5, 1938 in Catawba County to the late Paul and Lois Fox Bailey. Kenneth was a United States Navy Veteran and retired from Catawba Valley Community College where he worked in the maintenance department for 28 years. He enjoyed painting, woodworking, photography and leather crafting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Linda Isenhour Bailey.

Those left to cherish his memory are son Kenneth O. Bailey Jr. and wife Jennifer of Granite Falls; daughters Gay B. Ball and late husband Norman of Summerfield, Sandy B. Miller and husband Kenneth of Statesville; brother William E. Bailey Sr. and wife Ruth of Claremont; sister Francies Bailey Lafone and late husband Donald of Conover; grandchildren Dustin Ball, Rob Miller, Chad Miller, and Kenneth W. Bailey; great-grandchildren Kristina-Faye Ball, April Ball, Tyler Ball, and Olivia Miller.

A graveside service with military honors to celebrate Kenneth’s life will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Providence Memorial Cemetery in Catawba. Grandson, Robert W. Miller will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service.
