Willie Mae Oliver Bowers
July 6, 1946 - March 15, 2020

CHERRYVILLE - Willie Mae Oliver Bowers, age 73, of W. Church St. passed away Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Atrium Health – Cleveland.

She was born July 6, 1946 in Sullivan County, Tenn. to the late Clarence William and Lulie Mae Oliver. She was formerly employed at Howell Mill and Crafty Cleaners. She enjoyed going to yard sales and she cherished her time spent with her grandbabies and great-grandbabies.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Allen Bowers; and siblings, Walt Oliver, Bunk Oliver, Merle Smith, and Lawrence Oliver.

Survivors include her children, John Allen “Jr.” Bowers of Cherryville, Clarence Bowers and wife Martha of Cherryville, Tina Marie Bowers of Cherryville, and Charles “Buster” Coble of Crouse; grandchildren, Misty Sharpe, Chris Bowers, Danielle Hastings, and Jada Bowers; and great-grandchildren, Sierra Sharpe, Drake Bowers, Madi Hastings, Katie Hastings, Levi Sharpe, and Cayson Bowers.

In keeping with Ms. Willie’s wishes, all services will be held privately.
