Ricky Lee "Howdy" Hefner
December 20, 1960 - April 3, 2020

CONOVER - Ricky Lee “Howdy” Hefner, 59, of Conover, N.C. passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020 at Atrium Health in Charlotte after a motorcycle accident and a period of declining health.

Ricky Lee was born December 20, 1960 in Catawba County to the late Jerry Lee Hefner and Katherine Louise Hefner Hendrix. Ricky was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He spent his younger years participating in Flat Track Motorcycle Racing and the love for two wheels never died. Ricky could always be found with his motorcycle and surrounded by his friends. “Stranger” was an unknown word to him. Ricky Lee lived life full throttle and the way he wanted to live his life.

In addition to his parents, Ricky was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ann Crouch.

Those left to cherish his memory are son Andrew Hefner and wife Ginni of Conover; sister Tina Ramsey and husband Richard of Maiden; nephew Brad Lee Richard Ramsey of Maiden; grandchildren Taylor, Allison, Harrison and Norah Hefner; numerous friends from many cities and states.

In lieu of a service at this time, a celebration of life will be discussed at a later date.

Condolences may be sent to the Hefner family at www.bennettfuneralservice.com.

Bennett Funeral Service of Newton, N.C. is serving the Hefner family.
