William Forrest "Bill" Keever

LINCOLNTON, N.C. - William Forrest "Bill" Keever, 92, of Lincolnton, died May 5, 2020.

Bill served in the US Military in Japan during WWII as a SSGT in the US Army Air Corps, later known at the USAF. He was a lifetime member of McKendree United Methodist Church, where he served in several roles involving music and Sunday school.

He loved farming and was a true "keeper of the land."

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Wesley Keever (Cassie Hampton); wife, Ira "Susie" Nantz Keever; brother, John Howard Keever; and sister, Betty Jane Keever Rogers.

He is survived by his children, Larry Allen Keever (Kay) of Lincolnton; Martha Jean Seagle (Thom) of Iron Station; grand-daughter Stacey Seagle Sheppard (Scott) of Lexington S.C.; and grandson Jeb Forrest Seagle of Hartsville S.C.

Due to the Covid-19 virus, there will be no visitation.

A private graveside service will be held for immediate family members at McKendree United Methodist Church, Lincolnton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McKendree United Methodist Church, PO Box 426, Lincolnton, NC 28093 or to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.

The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Heath House and Hospice of Lincoln County for their compassionate care of Bill during his declining health. You are angels!
