Richard Kelvin Drum
March 9, 1958 - February 10, 2022

CONOVER, N.C. - Richard Kelvin Drum, 63, of Conover passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at his residence.

He was born March 9, 1958 in Catawba County to the late Richard David Drum and Milladean Holland Craig.

Kelvin retired from the construction industry and enjoyed doing mechanic work, gardening, helping others and was an avid animal lover. He was very loved and will be dearly missed by all.

In addition to his parents, Kelvin was preceded in death by his brother, Kenny Drum.

Those left to cherish his memory are son Joshua McWilliams of Dallas; daughters Crystal York and husband John of Staley, Kelli Martin and husband David of Boynton Beach, Fla.; grandchildren Lindsey and Peyton York, Ezra Martin.

A service to celebrate Kelvin’s life will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Bennett Funeral Service, 7878 NC Hwy 16, Newton. Rev. Brian Odham and Rev. Scott Hooks will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairview Baptist Church in Newton. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Service. Those serving as pallbearers are John York, Kevin Stanford, David Martin, Ronnie Keller, and Dwight Wilson.
