NEWTON, N.C. - Murray Amelia Eakers White, 78, of Newton died Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Carolina Caring.
Born January 7, 1944 she was the daughter of the late Evan Burton Eakers and Eugenia Murray Eakers. She worked at Hickory Hill Furniture for over 34 years. She was most proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchild.
Her husband of 59 years, Donald Lee White of Hickory; two daughters, Donna White Blevins of Newton and Amy White of Newton; two grandchildren, Savannah Blevins and Taylor Blevins and a great-grandson, Abriel Carson survive her.
A sister, Shirley Eakers Pearson and a brother, Wesley Evan Eakers preceded her in death.
A Gathering of family and friends will be 3:30- 5 p.m. on Monday February 21, 2022 at The Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Carolina Caring Hospice in Newton for the dignity and respect shown to our mother during her stay.
