Rodney Eugene Sigmon, 57, of Maiden passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Catawba Valley Medical Center.
He was born April 19, 1964 in Catawba County to the late Boyd Russell Sigmon Jr., and Annie Lee Parker Sigmon. Rodney was a member of Mt. Ruhama Baptist Church in Maiden and was employed as a sales representative with Sumter Packaging Company for 21 years. He enjoyed being a grandpa, riding motorcycles, fishing, dancing, yard work, and spending time at Balls Creek Bait and Tackle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Boyd Aurther Sigmon; sister-in-law; Cheryl Sigmon; and a number of aunts and uncles.
Memories of Rodney will be cherished by his wife of 34 years: Dana McCarter Sigmon of the home; sons: Cody Michael Sigmon and wife Amanda of Maiden, and Adam Russell Sigmon of Maiden; sister: Kathy Goble and husband Donald of Maiden; grandson: Mason Michael Sigmon; three aunts and an uncle; and his nephew: Boyd Aaron Sigmon of Charlotte.
A service to celebrate Rodney’s life will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Ruhama Baptist Church in Maiden. Rev. Larry Burns and Mr. Jerry Burton will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. at Mt. Ruhama Baptist Church.
