Cornwell “Corn” Elliott Chapman, age 87 of Lincolnton passed away Friday, February 18, 2022 at Atrium Health – Lincoln.

Born March 5, 1934 in Gaston County, he was the son of the late Julins and Grace Holbrooks Chapman. He was a brick mason and a member of Massopoag Baptist Church in Lincolnton. In addition to his parents, wife, Rachel Ann Clark Chapman, three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

He is survived by one son, Elliott Chapman of Lincolnton; and one sister, Sue Husteller of Gaston County.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Bill Stanley officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:15 – 1:15 PM at Burke Mortuary Chapel in Maiden.
