Tanya Kay Keener, 52, of Newton passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Catawba Valley Medical Center.
She was born November 12, 1969 in Catawba County to Dale Leroy Keener of Pumpkin Center and to the late Patricia Schronce Aderholdt. Tanya was a member of Startown First Baptist Church in Newton and employed with Walmart where she served in management. She loved spending time with her family, visiting the beach, and volunteering with Operation Christmas Child.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Rosa Mae Schronce; and sister, Michele Keener.
Cherishing her memory are her sons, David Harris Webb III and wife Dana of Maiden, and Aaron Tyler Webb and wife Lauren of Newton; her father, Dale Keener and wife Francis of Pumpkin Center; her sisters, Ronda Diane Decker of Newton, and Holly May Lyndon and husband Shannon of Conover; grandchildren: Isabella, Kane, Cora, Kaitlyn, and Kyleigh; and her step-father: Bobby Aderholdt of Iron Station.
A memorial service to celebrate Tanya’s life will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Startown First Baptist Church in Newton. Rev. William Church will officiate.
