BESSEMER CITY, N.C. - Charles Lawson Carpenter, age 86, of Henderson Road in Bessemer City, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022.
He was born April 26, 1935, a son of the late Jessie Carpenter and Lelar Reinhardt Carpenter.
Mr. Carpenter is survived by his wife, Lucy Heafner Carpenter, of the home; sons, Bobby Carpenter, of Vale, Steve Carpenter, Barry Carpenter, Tony Carpenter and wife, Connie, and Paul Carpenter and wife, Ashley, all of Lincolnton; daughter, Nancy C. Beatty of Bessemer City; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton. Mr. Carpenter will lie-in-state at Warlick Funeral Home on Monday, February 28, 2022, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. for those who wish to pay their respects.
