CONOVER, N.C. - Melanie Lynn Sherrill Shultz, 46, of Conover passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022 as a result of a motor vehicle accident.
She was born January 28, 1976 in Catawba County to Fred Nelson Sherrill Jr. and the late Kathy Setzer Sherrill. Melanie was a 1994 graduate of Bandys High School and attended CVCC, she had just purchased her cap and gown and was to graduate in May. She was employed with the US Postal Service as a mail carrier. Melanie enjoyed shopping, traveling, spending time with her family, and listening to Garth Brooks music.
Melanie was preceded in death by her mother, Kathy Setzer Sherrill.
Those left to cherish her memory is her husband Patrick Shultz of the home; daughters Kaylee Goulds of Conover, Alyssa Goulds of Conover; father Fred Nelson Sherrill Jr. of Lincolnton; maternal grandmother Jewel Campbell Setzer of Claremont; and dog Sophie Shultz.
A service to celebrate Melanie’s life will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Hopewell United Methodist Church in Sherrills Ford. Rev. Dr. Ed Yount will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service.
