Calvin Davis Mundy, 78, of Newton passed away  Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Carolina Caring, Newton.  He was born February 20, 1944 in Catawba County NC the son of the late Harold Mundy and Alma Sipe Mundy Bentley. He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church and employed in the furniture industry.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters; Jewell Marrow, Carolyn Worley, Marilyn Benge and Judy Christopher.

He is survived by

His wife:  Nancy Mundy

Son:  Tony Mundy and husband, Roger Moore of Newton

Daughter:  Crystal Mundy of Newton

Grandsons:  Brandon Serrano and Justin Serrano

Sister:   Nancy Brown of Statesville

Brother-in-law:  Phillip Marrow

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Woodlawn Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Daughtrey officiating.  A Private burial will be held at Friendship United Methodist Church.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 to 12:45 PM at the church.
