HILDEBRAN, N.C. - Thomas James Calvin Helton Sr., 78, of Hildebran passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Carolina Caring in Newton.
He was born March 22, 1943 in Caldwell County to the late Maggie Coleen Gregg Helton. Thomas loved hunting, fishing, frog giggin, the outdoors and animals.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Sue Cline Helton; sons, Thomas James Helton Jr. and Calvin James Helton; and sisters, Minnie Anderson and Mami Robison.
Those left to cherish his memory are daughters Maggie Fulbright and husband Joey of Newton, Peggy Gross of Hickory; Nellie Dunn and husband Jeff; and great-grandchildren Azaya Anderson, Cassidy Goodwin and Brayden Goodwin.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
