LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Mary Jo Hager McConnell, age 87, of Lincolnton passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Lincolnton Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born January 31, 1935 in Lincoln County, and was the daughter of the late Edward and Florence Henley Hager. In addition to her parents, husband, William T. McConnell preceded her in death.
Left to cherish her memory are two sons Steven “Steve” McConnell and wife Brenda of Lincolnton, Rick McConnell and wife Bobbie of Lincolnton; two grandchildren Joshua McConnell and wife Jen of Apex, Monica Duncan and husband Eric of Maiden; and two great-grandchildren Abby Duncan and Alyson Duncan.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 26 2022 at 3 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Lincolnton with Pastor Rick Hensley officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2-2:45 p.m. at the church.
