LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Marabel Effie Maag Chapman, age 93, of Southside Church Road in Lincolnton, died on Monday, March 28, 2022.
Her funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, April 2, 2022 in the Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Farnsworth officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2022 at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Chapman was born December 2, 1928, in Los Angeles, Calif. to the late Reginald Paul Maag and Violet Una Downs Maag. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Lee Chapman Sr.; and two sons, William Lee Chapman Jr., Richard Lee Chapman; her siblings, Lucille, Violet, Bud and Welda.
She is survived by eight grandchildren, Kelly Ambrose, William Lee Chapman III, Chelsea Chichester, Jimeigh Howard Lee Chapman, Milonne Kyle, Courtney Chapman, Brittney Chapman and Sam Mark Lee Chapman; and 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Louise Pope, nephew and niece Steve Chapman and Montrece Chapman; and daughter-law, Terry Chapman.
Warlick Funeral Home of Lincolnton, N.C. is serving the Chapman family.
